Burgess, Bereznak

Caitlin Rebecca Burgess and Bradley John Bereznak were wed Oct. 5 at the Byington Winery, Los Gatos. A reception followed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter Ellen Murray of Mountain View and William E. Burgess, Jr. of Arlington, Texas.

The bride, a native of Palo Alto, graduated from Gunn High School. She attended Foothill College and received her bachelor’s degree in journalism, magna cum laude, from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She has a law degree from UCLA and is a member of the California and New York bars.

The groom, a native of Chicago, received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois. He has a law degree from Santa Clara University and is a member of the California and Illinois bars. He also is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The couple are partners in their own intellectual property law firm, Burgess and Bereznak, LLP, in Mountain View.

The couple lives in Sunnyvale.

Editorial

We’ve recently covered the passing of two of this community’s most involved and committed volunteers, Lee Lynch and Billy Russell. They represented an era when people helped out, not so they could get their name on a building, but because it was simply the right thing to do.

There’s a new generation of volunteers hard at work right now in this community who are carrying on their legacy. The level of involvement in the recent Los Altos Relay For Life event bears this out.
