Sept. 23, 9:26 a.m., Fallen Leaf Lane: A parent locked outside of a house called police to get an infant who was still inside the home.

Medical emergency

Sept. 23, 5:07 p.m., Alford Avenue: A U.S. letter carrier delivering mail reported a medical emergency at a residence to police.

Hit and run

Sept. 27, 6:65 p.m., El Camino Real: Police reported a hit-and-run accident with no injuries.

Editorial

We’ve recently covered the passing of two of this community’s most involved and committed volunteers, Lee Lynch and Billy Russell. They represented an era when people helped out, not so they could get their name on a building, but because it was simply the right thing to do.

There’s a new generation of volunteers hard at work right now in this community who are carrying on their legacy. The level of involvement in the recent Los Altos Relay For Life event bears this out.
