Juli Inkster will be among the featured guests at the Ladies Challenge for Charity golf tournament Monday at Los Altos Golf & Country Club.

Inkster, a Los Altos resident, is a two-time U.S. Women’s Open Champion and a member of the LPGA Hall of Fame.

The tournament’s official charity, HomeSafe, a collaboration of seven non-profit domestic violence and housing service agencies formed to build and operate long-term transitional housing communities in Santa Clara County for survivors of domestic violence.

“The tournament is perfectly timed,” said Jennifer Hulbert, executive director of WATCH, HomeSafe’s lead agency. “October is Domestic Violence Month. This gives us an opportunity to educate our community about the causes, effects and solutions for domestic violence.”

The tournament also will feature volunteer male caddies who will donate their time and muscle to cater to each participating foursome.

For more information about the Ladies Challenge for Charity, call tournament chair Gail Kurisu at (408) 737-7587 or e-mail her at gkurisu@ihot.com.
