Julia Randazzo and Take Note and Djacks will headline a concert and dinner benefit for the Poor Clare nuns scheduled for 5:30 p.m., Oct. 19, at St. Joseph School, 1120 Miramonte Ave. in Mountain View. There will also be a donation-drawing for an acoustic guitar and an afghan made by the Poor Clare Sisters.

Proceeds from the evening will assist in the rebuilding of the Poor Clare Monastery in Los Altos Hills. The monastery, built in 1920, was originally the home of the Gibson family. Today, it badly needs repair and retrofit construction.

The Poor Clare nuns lead lives dedicated to contemplative work and prayer.

Donations of $15.00/person or $25.00/family will be donated directly to the monastery building fund.
