Sept. 19, 8:02 a.m., El Camino Real: A caller complained about day laborers standing along El Camino Real.

Disturbance

Sept. 19, 11:02 a.m., Dalehurst Avenue: Police reported a case of domestic violence.

Prowler

Sept. 20 4:57 a.m., Rancho Shopping Center: A caller told police there was a possible prowler at the shopping center.

Attack

Sept. 12, 8:32 a.m., El Monte Road: An animal attacked someone on the Foothill College campus.

Mischief

Sept. 10, 5:51 p.m., Oakhurst Avenue: A caller told police someone had vandalized a car.

Editorial

We’ve recently covered the passing of two of this community’s most involved and committed volunteers, Lee Lynch and Billy Russell. They represented an era when people helped out, not so they could get their name on a building, but because it was simply the right thing to do.

There’s a new generation of volunteers hard at work right now in this community who are carrying on their legacy. The level of involvement in the recent Los Altos Relay For Life event bears this out.
