A.G. Ferrari Foods Italian market in downtown Los Altos is scheduled to launch a weekly wine tasting benefit from 5-7 p.m., every Thursday starting this week.
Profits from the two-hour evening events will go to Hidden Villa wilderness preserve in Los Altos Hills.
Hidden Villa provides an array of non-profit educational programs for both children and adults.
A.G. Ferrari owner Paul Ferrari said the partnership with Hidden Villa is rooted in the origins of the store.
“We are a family-owned and operated business, so Hidden Villa’s emphasis on youth and family was appealing,” he said.
The benefit wine tastings will also feature various cheeses, pastas and salads.
“Every time our customers come into our stores, they will be able to taste something special from Italy - and learn exactly where it is from and how it is used,” Ferrari said.
Paul Ferrari is the representative of the third generation of Ferraris to guide the family business, which opened in 1919.
A.G. Ferrari Foods is located at 295 Main St., Los Altos. For more information about the scheduled Thursday tastings, call 947-7930.
