By Local brewer launches chocolate company

The founder of Pete’s Wicked Ale plans to unveil premium chocolates this fall produced by his new Campbell-based company, Cocoa Pete’s Chocolate Adventures.

Local resident Pete Slosberg said he was enticed into chocolate-making during frequent visits to Belgium while producing Pete’s Wicked Ale.

“Everyone European, from a prince to a plumber, has access to really great chocolate,” Slosberg said.

The entrepreneur decided to try his hand at producing high-quality chocolate.

After selling the beer company in 1998, Slosberg spent months on research, going through pounds of chocolate samples and hunting down just the right ingredients.

Cocoa Pete’s Chocolate Adventures was born out of these efforts.

Slosberg said the company’s mission is to make premium chocolate more accessible to everyone.
