Six candidates have filed for the two, four-year seats open on the El Camino Hospital District Board of Directors.

Incumbents, Mark J. O’Connor of Sunnyvale and David W. Reeder of Los Altos, said the hospital is in the middle of the earthquake retrofit, and there is much to finish.

New nominees for the district board are: Phillip Green of Los Altos; Laura Ferrer of Mountain View; Elinor Stetson of Sunnyvale; and William James of Mountain View.

The slate for board of directors will be on the Nov. 5 general election ballot. Over upcoming weeks, the candidates will discuss their platforms in forums and open meetings.
