EscapeVelocity, a recently launched management consulting company located off San Antonio Road in Los Altos, has escaped the startup demise by doing what they do best: help other companies become successful.

Three local partners, Mario Chaves, Robert Olson and Patrick Ferrell, joined others from around the country to form the startup. The partners bring their diverse experience as executives with primary positions in many startups to solve problems within existing companies or help get a new company on its feet. They share a common passion to be entrepreneurs.

Managing Partner Ferrell of Los Altos disclosed why EscapeVelocity wasn’t hurt during the recent stock market decline: “While the market is down, we are being called in to fine-tune companies before (they) go out (to IPO).”

Ferrell explained, “We fix things. Whether you are having problems with your product, finances or legal issues, EscapeVelocity, with its eclectic staff, has the resources to guide many companies. We are very hands on.”

In a recent situation, a partner temporarily became part of a company as it revised its structure and installed a new engineering team, the weak link within the company. “It is almost as if you are renting an entrepreneur,” Ferrell said.

The partners are excited about the launch of their company and the recent attention they have received. EscapeVelocity prides itself on its uniqueness and ability to help early-stage and emerging growth companies achieve objectives. It also helps mature companies receive targeted assistance.
