TTC (The Talent Crew) Encore Productions, a theater group comprising mostly Los Altos and Mountain View youths aged 13-22, is performing “Fame” Thursday through Sunday at the Palo Alto High School theater.

Performances are set for 7:30 p.m., Thursday through Saturday, and 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., Sunday.

All proceeds from the production will go to benefit Habitat For Humanity, said director Tara Rolle of Los Altos.

Rolle, who started the theater group while in fourth grade some nine years ago, said The Talent Crew has always raised money for charities, and alternates choices every year.

Rolle felt Habitat For Humanity was a good choice since the organization is building a 36-unit project in Redwood City for low-income families.

Tickets to “Fame” are $10 for adults, $9 for children 12 and under.

Palo Alto High is located at 50 Embarcadero Road.

For tickets and more information, call 575-4773 or e-mail: tarolle@ucla.edu.

In Our Opinion

Editorial

We’ve recently covered the passing of two of this community’s most involved and committed volunteers, Lee Lynch and Billy Russell. They represented an era when people helped out, not so they could get their name on a building, but because it was simply the right thing to do.

There’s a new generation of volunteers hard at work right now in this community who are carrying on their legacy. The level of involvement in the recent Los Altos Relay For Life event bears this out.
