The premier edition of “Fore Women Golfers Discount Golf & Leisure Guide,” published by Mountain View resident Rosiland Bivings, was released in July.

The book contains green fee discounts at California and Nevada golf courses, along with savings discounts specifically targeted at women golfers and consumers.

Bivings claims this is the first discount golf guide aimed at the market of women consumers.

“Women are the fastest growing segment of the golf market,” she said. “My entire business has been focused around providing opportunity and information for women. I believe the future of golf growth and encouraging junior golfers rest in the hands of women golfers.”

The guide, priced at $19.95, is available at golf courses, golf shops and retailers who supply golf-related items.

It includes several thousand dollars in savings on golf courses green fees, golf apparel, golf equipment and golf lessons from women teaching professionals. There are also discounts for hotels and other travel-related services.
