The 13th annual Los Altos Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament is scheduled for Aug. 19, with a sold-out field of 144 golfers playing at the Los Altos Golf and Country Club. A modified scramble will be the tournament format.
“This is the seventh straight year that we have had an early sellout for this great event, and we owe a special thanks to our generous sponsors who help make this event such an outstanding success,” said Steve Shepherd, golf tournament co-chairman.
Bank of Los Altos is the major corporate sponsor of the event, along with seven hosting corporate sponsors: Packard, Packard & Johnson; Rambus, Inc.; Moison Investment Company; Marriott Residence Inn Los Altos; Armadillo Willy’s; Retirement Administration, Inc.; and Elmengard.
Other corporate sponsors include American Express Tax & Business Services, Los Altos Garbage Company, Lozano Brushless Car Wash, Alain Pinel, Glaze Capital Management, Chef Chu’s and Andrew K. Mills Plumbing.
Putting and chipping contests, with $5,000 in prizes, are being sponsored by American Express Tax & Business Services and Jim Flynn State Farm Insurance.
A Mini Cooper donated by Allison BMW and a Rolex watch donated by Gleim Jewelers are the hole-in-one prizes.
A silent auction will be held during a cocktail reception following the tournament. l
Funds raised by this event are used to support chamber and community programs.
