AYSO Region 43, Los Altos, is set to host a pair of Major League Soccer Camps featuring experienced coaches from the United Kingdom.

Camps are scheduled Monday through Aug. 2 at Whisman School Park in Mountain View and Aug. 19-23 at Santa Rita School in Los Altos.

The camps are for ages 6-18. The programs for ages 6-9 will run 9 a.m. to noon; ages 10-18 participate from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The MLS Camp is the official camp of Major League Soccer, a professional league that includes the San Jose Earthquakes among its members.

A team of international coaches, most of whom are from the U.K., are fully trained in the age-specific needs of young soccer players and are considered experts in soccer skills and techniques.

Each week-long camp costs $110 for ages 6-9 and $160 for ages 10-18.

Every camper will receive a soccer ball, T-shirt, individual player evaluation, an MLS gift and free companion ticket to an MLS game.

For more information about the camp or to register, call 948-1986 or logon to www.MLScamps.com.
