By GOP nominee's wife on campaign trail
Cindy Simon, wife of Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Simon, will speak on campaign issues at a July 31 luncheon in Los Altos.
The event is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Los Altos Golf & Country Club, 1560 Country Club Drive. The cost is $25.
Chairwoman Duffy Price said reservations should be made early because seating is limited. Reservations should be made by leaving name and daytime telephone number at 917-9125. Sponsors are the South Peninsula Area Republican Coalition (SPARC).
Green party candidate in MV appearance
Peter Miguel Camejo, Green Party candidate for governor, will put in an appearance 7-9:30 p.m., July 23, at the historic Adobe Building, corner of Moffett Boulevard and Central Expressway, in Mountain View. A socially responsible investment adviser endorsed by Ralph Nader, Camejo said he would, among other goals, create a program to install solar panels on all qualified homes if elected.
