It was an easy choice for Julia Rosenberg when it came to running for an open seat on the Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District School Board. She ran unapposed in the Nov. 5 election, and will begin her four year term at the Dec. 9 board meeting.
Rosenberg, a mother of two Los Altos High students, has a long history of volunteering in her children’s schools.
Rosenberg has been serving as vice president of 6th District Parent Teacher’s Association of Santa Clara County, was the parent representative on the Los Altos High School Site council for the 2002-03 school year and has served on the PTAs at Springer Elementary and Blach Intermediate schools.
She hopes to bring a parent perspective to the board. She will be the only member with children in the district.
“I found out that Sue Graham was stepping down and it seemed like the next step in my school volunteer career,” Rosenberg said. “I have the utmost respect for the people on the school board. We are are all working for the best for our children, and I am happy to help.”
