By U.S. Marine Corps Corporal Jose. D. Arroyolligo, a 1997 graduate of Los Altos High School, recently participated in exercise Sea Soldier '02 while assigned to the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), home based at Camp Pendleton. His unit is an expeditionary intervention force with the ability to rapidly organize for combat operations in virtually any environment.

The exercise was performed more than two weeks after Arroyolligo’s unit completed offensive raids against Taliban and Al-Qaeda forces during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

Robin Boniface of Los Altos recently graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., with a degree in economics. During her time at the academy, she also served as the co-captain of the women’s lacrosse team.

A 1997 graduate of St. Francis High School and former member of the Palo Alto Tomahawk Lacrosse Team, Boniface entered the academy after attending prep school and Foothill College. In October, Boniface will attend flight school in Pensacola, Fla..
