The Los Altos Village Association has scheduled its 23rd annual Arts & Wine Festival 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., July 13 and 14. This year, the festival joins the citywide celebration of Los Altos’ 50th anniversary of incorporation. The festival annually attracts people from all over the Bay Area.
There is usually something for everyone at this free family event. Highlights include works by more than 450 artists, nonstop musical entertainment on three stages, street performers, children’s rides and entertainment, foods from around the world, premium wines from local vintners and a selection of beers from microbreweries. Bicycle valets and festival shuttle service between Los Altos High School and downtown Los Altos are available.
More than 450 artists and craftspersons will add their wares to the already rich mix of the village shops along Main and State streets. The handcrafted wares include paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, dried flowers, clothing, glass, leather, textile arts, wood and ceramics.
The Food Court will feature fan favorites: Kettle Corn, corn on the cob, funnel cakes, Fruit Friz, soft-serve ice cream, lemonade, barbecues and other treats.
Nonstop entertainment will be presented on two stages and multiple street locations throughout the two-day festival.
The popular KIDZONE will return with rides, slides, a train, the safe house and first-rate children’s entertainers on stage from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The lineup includes musical revues, singers, storytellers, jugglers, magicians and dancers, plus hands-on art and games.
