Mountain View High freshman Kevin Stanek won the singles title at the SCVAL El Camino Division championship tournament April 26. The Los Altos resident, seeded No. 2, beat top seed Yang Li of Homestead 4-6, 6-4, 7-5.

Swim school sign-ups

West Bay is accepting sign-ups for its summer swim school, set for June 18-Aug. 1 at Los Altos High. The Monday through Thursday schedule is 4-5:30 p.m. for high school swimmers; 5:30-6:30 p.m. for Grades 1-4 and 6:30-7:30 p.m. for Grades 5-8. Cost is $225. The Mountain View-Los Altos CyberRays, a CYSA under-11 girls soccer team, will hold tryouts for the fall season at 4 p.m., Friday, at Huff School, 253 Martens Ave., Mountain View. Soccer sign-ups

Registration for AYSO Region 43’s fall soccer season will be held 7-9 p.m., today, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, at Santa Rita School, Los Altos. Region 43 is for boys and girls, kindergarten to high school, who live in north Los Altos, north Mountain View or south Palo Alto.
