Janine Chu and John Sun were married April 27 at Valley Presbyterian Church, Portola Valley. A reception was held at Silver Creek Valley Country Club in San Jose.

The bride is the daughter of Dorothy and Kai-ching Chu of Los Altos. She graduated from Mountain View High School and has degrees from Cornell University and University of California, Los Angeles. She is an attorney in Los Angeles.

The groom is the son of Hango and John Sun of McAllen, Texas. He is a graduate of Palos Verdes Peninsula High School, and the University of California, Berkeley. He is a consultant. The couple live in Rancho Palos Verdes.
