District looking at job losses, not opening a seventh elementary school

The Los Altos School District’s Board of Trustee’s voted unanimously at its May 6 meeting, after the Town Crier went to press for its May 8 issue, to approve its budget review committee’s recommendations for $4.4 million in budget cuts needed to balance the budget for the 2002-03 school year.

The list of cuts are in order of priority and are as follows according to the Los Altos School District:
