The inaugural Los Altos Hills Pathways Run/Walk is scheduled for May 11 at Westwind Barn, 27210 Altamont Road, Los Altos Hills. The 5-kilometer run will start at 9 a.m, and the mile fun run is slated for 10:30 a.m. Registration cost: $10-$22. For more information, call 941-7222, ext. 306.

Soccer sign-ups

Registration for AYSO Region 43’s fall soccer season will be held this month at Santa Rita School, Los Altos. Times: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., May 11 and 18; and 7-9 p.m., May 15. Region 43 is for boys and girls, kindergarten to high school, who live in north Los Altos, north Mountain View or south Palo Alto. The league also needs volunteer coaches, refs and team coordinators (no experience necessary). For more information, logon to www.AYSO43.org.

Play ball

Final tryouts and late registration for Mountain View Babe Ruth Seniors are scheduled for 10 a.m., Sunday, at McKelvey Ballpark on Miramonte Avenue, one block west of El Camino Real in Mountain View. The baseball league is for players ages 16-18. Games will begin after the high school season ends and run through July. For more information, call 966-8027.

Softball start-up

The Jewish Community Center in Palo Alto is forming a coed softball league to run from May to July. Team fees are $575 for JCC members, $650 for non-members. Individuals without teams will be put on a waiting list and added to teams, if possible. Individual fees are $40 members, $65 non-members. Games scheduled 6-10 p.m., followed by a single elimination playoff tournament. Prizes will be awarded. For more information, call 493-6702.
