Broceliande is scheduled to perform a concert of Celtic and early music at 8 p.m., Friday, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Palo Alto.
Broceliande (pronounced “bro-SAY-lee-ond”) delivers a musical blend of Celtic and European folk tunes combined with Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque sounds.
The group features Margaret Davis (vocals, Celtic harp, flute and recorders), Karl Franzen (guitar, vocals, bouzouki melodeon, whistles and percussion), Kristoph Klover (vocals, guitars, oboe and octave mandolin) and Kris Yenney (cello, vocals, viola da gamba and kamanche).
Broceliande has recently been featured on Sedge Thomson’s “West Coast Live” show, “Folk Music & Beyond” with JoAnn Mar and “Hear and Now” with Derk Richardson.
The group has two albums on the Flowinglass Music label.
Unitarian Universalist Church is located at 505 E. Charleston Road.
Tickets are $10-$15 (suggested donation) at the door and $8-$12 in advance.
