By Last week's health brief about the YMCA of the Mid-Peninsula's "Healthy Kids Day" in Palo Alto contained an incorrect phone number for more information. The correct number is 842-7169. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, 795 El Camino Real, Palo Alto.

Apologies to those readers who anticipated a Home & Garden magazine in last week’s Town Crier only to find none. The paper was incorrect in its publication date. The magazine is inserted in this week’s paper.

In Our Opinion

Editorial

When members of the Los Altos Village Association first created the summer movie nights, they anticipated an event that would attract more residents downtown as a way to promote business.

What they didn’t anticipate was an influx of middle schoolers, or that parents would use the weekly Friday night affair as an opportunity to drop off their children and have someone else (in this case, the Village Association) effectively watch over them.
