Registration for Mountain View Babe Ruth Seniors is scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. the next three Saturdays at McKelvey Ballpark on Miramonte Avenue, one block west of El Camino Real in Mountain View. West Bay Water Polo Club’s spring swim camp is set for Monday through April 19 at Los Altos High. The camp is open to swimmers of all levels in grades 3-8. Times: 3-4 p.m. for grades 3-4; 4-5 p.m. for grades 5-6; 5-6:30 p.m. for grades 7-8. Cost is $60. Registration deadline is Friday. All participants must also register for USA Water Polo membership for insurance coverage; for membership fee info, logon to www.usawaterpolo.com. The Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame seeks entries for the 2002 Art Rosenbaum Sports Writing Scholarship. The contest is open to Bay Area high school juniors and seniors who wrote sports stories for their school publication from April 15, 2001, to April 15, 2002. Each school may submit two entries (one per person). A panel of professional journalists will judge the entries. Three scholarships totaling $5,000 will be awarded. Entry deadline is Monday.
