Frederic “Ric” Teague died March 3. He was 72.
Mr. Teague’s death marks the end of an unusual, eclectic life that ranged from serving in the Korean War to a profession as a management consultant to leaving it all behind to start a truck repair business in an industrial yard on Homer Avenue.
In addition, he was a musician, artist and history buff. He founded energyonline.com. He wrote a history of the Navy that was published online.
Evelyn Maude Emberton
Evelyn Maude Emberton died March 2. She was 100.
Mrs. Emberton was an 83-year resident of Mountain View. She worked as an executive secretary in San Francisco for many years until the early 1950s, when she moved back to Mountain View and became a realtor at Hoefleer Realty in Los Altos.
Mrs. Emberton was the widow, of Melvin G. Emberton. She is survived by her brother, Louis C. Moore and his wife, Sara of Los Altos Hills; and sisters-in-law, Lillian Moore of Mountain View and Carolyn Moore; eight nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Renee Ulrich Sonderman and J. Bradley Sonderman
Renee Ulrich Sonderman and her husband J. Bradley Sonderman died last month. Mrs. Sonderman died March 5. Mr. Sonderman died five days later, March 10.
Mrs. Sonderman was 89. Mr. Sonderman was 93.
Mrs. Sonderman is survived by her nephew and niece, Michael Guase and Michele Guase. Mr. Sonderman is survived by his sisters, Rachel Haynes and Zelia Martin.
A memorial service was held for the Sondermans April 6.
Edythe Marlow Schroeder
Edythe Marlow Schroeder died March 7 following surgery to correct a broken hip. A fourth-generation Californian, she was 100.
Mrs. Schroeder’s grandparents on both sides and great-grandparents on one side, were early settlers in the San Luis Obispo/Cambria/Harmony/San Simeon areas. She was a 70-year resident of San Francisco before moving to Cupertino in 1983.
Mrs. Schroeder is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Paul Ford of Los Altos Hills and Marilyn and Warren Hagberg; grandchildren, Lisa and Skip Eastman, Cristina Haverty, Scott and Sharon Hagber, Douglas Ford; nine great-grandchildren, She was preceded in death by her grandson, Steven Hagberg.
Sue McPherson
Sue McPherson died March 7 in Los Altos. A native of San Mateo, she was 57.
Mrs. Mcpherson was a retired travel agent with Flamingo Travel. She was a member of the Fremont Hills Tennis club.
Mrs. McPherson is survived by her husband, Jon McPherson of Los Altos; children, Craig and Heather McPherson; siblings, Linda Santos and step-sister, Lee Hildebrand; grandchild, Delaney Washington; and nephew, Joseph Santos.
Elma Stout
Elma Stout, a Mountain View resident for 50 years, died March 8. A native of Arkansas, she was 74.
Mrs. Stout was a child care provider for more than 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Buril Stout.
She is survived by James V. and Peggy Stout and Brenda and Ron Foster; nine grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Fawnetta M. Chisholm died March 10.
A native of Illinois, she was 99.
Mrs. Chisholm had lived in Los Altos since 1959. She worked at a large advertising firm in Chicago and later worked as an accountant with Hill Blackett & Company.
Mrs. Chisholm was the second of six children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed A. Chisholm.
She is survived by her sister, Helen Chase, brother, Eddie Reid and his wife, Marge; nieces and nephews; adopted daughters, and her cat, Sweetie.
