The Woodside-Atherton Auxiliary recently welcomed 13 new active members to the organization as the class of 2001. These women have just completed a provisional year of training and volunteering at the auxiliary-owned Allied Arts Guild and for “Tally Ho,” the group’s annual fund-raiser.
The membership welcomed the new actives at their general membership meeting March 15 at Lucile Salter Packard Children’s Hospital. The class of 2001 followed the welcome with the time-honored tradition of presenting an original skit.
The new members were: Patricia Allen of Portola Valley, Cheryl Benedict of Menlo Park, Judy Campbell of Atherton, Sylvia Constantz of Portola Valley, Vicki Kojola of Portola Valley, Ashleigh Liston of Los Altos, Danette Magilligan of Hillsborough, Odette Mock of Palo Alto, Patricia Plumlee of Cupertino, Biruta Sereda of San Mateo, Ann Spillane of Redwood City, Patty Ann White of Palo Alto and Eveline Woloszko of Mountain View.
The provisional class of 2002 was also presented to the membership at the meeting. These nine women will embark on an unusual training and volunteering program and will be the first-ever group of members not to learn the ropes of selling and merchandising at the Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park. The guild complex is temporarily closed for a major renovation and is not scheduled to reopen until fall of 2003. Until that time, these provisional members will spend their time getting familiar with Lucile Salter Packard Children’s Hospital, working on “Tally Ho” and assisting with fund raising for the renovation of the Allied Arts Guild complex.
The members of the provisional class of 2002 are: Jan Marie Baker of Woodside, Nicole Barnes of San Carlos, Chris Bastelier of Mountain View, Kathleen Campbell of Sunnyvale, Jeanne Chan of Mountain View, Toby Chaum of Palo Alto, Debbie Evans of Menlo Park, Kelly Kennedy of Palo Alto and Eleanor Satterlee of Palo Alto.
