Astronomy lecture at Foothill College

Dr. Debra Fischer from University of California, Berkeley, has scheduled a nontechnical illustrated lecture on the search for systems of planets around other stars, 7-8:30 p.m., April 10, in Smithwick Theater at Foothill College, 12345 El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills. Annual Zimbabwe run fund-raiser

The third annual “Run for Zimbabwe Orphans” has been scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m., April 14, at St. Joseph School, 1120 Miramonte Ave., Mountain View. Registration costs $5 per runner and is open to kindergartners to adults. All proceeds go to the Makumbi Children’s Home in Zimbabwe. Southbay Christian teachers gala
