By Chamber holds Business EXPO

The Los Altos Chamber of Commerce’s 14th annual Business EXPO will be held 4-7 p.m., April 25, at the Los Altos Youth Center, 1 N. San Antonio Road.

The event will feature businesses from all seven Los Altos shopping districts.

Admission is $5.

Visitors to Business Expo 2002 will discover the offerings of the Los Altos business community and have an opportunity to win raffle prizes donated by local merchants.

Individual businesses will also offer prize drawings at their displays.

Sponsors of EXPO 2002 are Bank of Los Altos, California Water Service, Los Altos Sub-Acute and Rehabilitation Center, Retirement Administration Inc., and Stanford Nissan.

We’ve recently covered the passing of two of this community’s most involved and committed volunteers, Lee Lynch and Billy Russell. They represented an era when people helped out, not so they could get their name on a building, but because it was simply the right thing to do.

There’s a new generation of volunteers hard at work right now in this community who are carrying on their legacy. The level of involvement in the recent Los Altos Relay For Life event bears this out.
