By Out To Lunch needs mentors

Out to Lunch, started by Partners for New Generations, connects caring adults with high school students who need support. The program is currently looking for mentors.

The program has received funding from the Los Altos Community Foundation to hire a part-time psychologist. The psychologist will select students for the program, match students with mentors based on common interests, monitor the students’ progress and train mentors.

Troop 33 ‘alums’ looking for alums

Los Altos Scout Troop 33, founded in 1952 by the Los Altos United Methodist Church, will celebrate 50 years of scouting with a reunion scheduled for Feb. 10.

Hidden Villa seeking farm guides

Hidden Villa Farm in Los Altos Hills needs volunteers one morning a week to guide the nearly 20,000 schoolchildren who are expected to visit the farm this school year. Volunteer times are Tuesday to Friday mornings, for a minimum of two hours.

U.N. store seeks volunteers

The United Nations Association Store, 552 Emerson Ave., Palo Alto, is seeking volunteers for three-hour shifts, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

This non-profit store has the full range of UNICEF gifts and cards. All proceeds go directly to support the United Nations. For more information, call 326-3170.

History museum seeks volunteers

The Los Altos History Museum is looking for museum store sales volunteers, tour docents, resource volunteers and interns. Sales volunteers and docents are needed noon to 4 p.m., Thursday through Sunday. For more information, logon to www.losaltoshistory.org.
