Melanie Christine Truesdale and Bradley Jay McMinn have announced their engagement to be married May 26 in Columbia, S.C.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip D. Truesdale of Columbia.

She graduated from Spring Valley High School in Columbia and has earned a bachelor’s in science degree in neuroscience and chemistry from Duke University.

The groom-to-be is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles McMinn of Los Altos Hills.

He graduated from Los Altos High School and has earned bachelor’s degrees in economics and computer science from Duke University.

Berg, Phares

Nancy Lynne Berg and David Fredric Phares were married Oct. 7 at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church. The reception was held at Ladera Oaks, Portola Valley.

The bride is the daughter of Kenneth and Marilyn Berg of Mankato, Minn.

She graduated from Loyola High School, Mankato, and earned a bachelor’s degree in literature from the College of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minn.

She is employed at American Airlines, San Jose.

The groom is the son of Fredric and Marie Phares of Los Altos.

He graduated from Los Altos High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

He is employed at Borland Software, Scotts Valley.

The couple live in Cupertino.

Will, Peterson

Gabrielle H.C. Will and Mark A. Peterson were married June 9 in Scottsdale, Ariz. A reception was held Oct. 13 at the Stanford Barn.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Peter M. Will of Los Altos Hills and Marina Del Rey. She graduated from Gunn High School and has earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University at Hayward.

She is employed as a marketing specialist at Boldfish Inc., Santa Clara.

The groom is the son of Robert Peterson of San Francisco and Olivia Torbett of Atherton.

He is a graduate of Gunn High School and has earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the College of Notre Dame.

He is employed as reports specialist at Netflix Inc., San Jose.

The couple live in Los Altos Hills.
