The Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra is set to perform at 8 p.m., Saturday, in Spangenberg Theater at Gunn High School, 780 Arastradero Road, Palo Alto.

The concert program includes two works by Beethoven: “Overture to “Fidelio, Op. 72″ and “Symphony No. 8 in F Major, Op. 93.” Also on the program are Mozart’s “Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola” and Pablo de Sarasate’s “Navarra for Two Violins and Orchestra.”

Two violinists from the New York Metropolitan Opera Orchestra will perform as guest soloists. David Chan, Metropolitan Opera’s concertmaster, and Catherine Ro, a violinist who has previously performed with PACO, will play the two violin solos on the Sarasate piece. On the Mozart work, Chan will perform the violin solo and Ro the viola.

Guest conductor George Thompson is a member of the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra.

Tickets are $10 adults, $8 seniors and $5 students.
