Nov. 24, 12:51 a.m., Main Street: A woman reported she was unable to find a friend she had driven with to the Los Altos Bar and Grill.

Malicious mischief

Nov. 24, 3:55 a.m., First Street: A caller reported witnessing shopping carts being pushed into the roadway.

Wire down in street

Nov. 24, 8:55 a.m., Marvin Ave.: A resident reported a transformer wire was down and on fire in the home’s yard.

Editorial

We’ve recently covered the passing of two of this community’s most involved and committed volunteers, Lee Lynch and Billy Russell. They represented an era when people helped out, not so they could get their name on a building, but because it was simply the right thing to do.

There’s a new generation of volunteers hard at work right now in this community who are carrying on their legacy. The level of involvement in the recent Los Altos Relay For Life event bears this out.
