Coldwell Banker last week announced the appointment of Bob Stelzer to manager of the company’s Los Altos Gateway office, incorporating a team of over 50 real estate professionals.
Stelzer joined Coldwell Banker Northern California in September with the merger of Coldwell Banker and his former broker, Century 21 Seville Contempo. Stelzer previously managed Seville Contempo’s Menlo Park Victoria Lane office which incorporated a team of over 35 sales associates. Recently the Victoria Lane office was merged with the Coldwell Banker offices located at El Camino and Santa Cruz Avenue.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Bob to the management team of Coldwell Banker,” said Avram Goldman, Coldwell Banker Northern California president and chief operating officer. “His breadth of knowledge and commitment to delivering outstanding service will assuredly benefit our sales associates, staff and clients.”
“I am extremely excited to be managing such a talented group of real estate professionals,” said Stelzer of his new affiliation with Coldwell Banker’s Los Altos Gateway office. “Coldwell Banker is an established and well-respected organization and I am looking forward to preserving that tradition of success and incorporating new marketing and technological programs that benefit our Menlo Park clients.”
A 16-year Bay Area real estate veteran, Stelzer entered the profession in 1985 as a sales associate and enjoyed a long and distinguished sales career. Topping his impressive list of professional accolades are Realtor of the Year (Palo Alto Board of Realtors), State Director (California Association of Realtors) and Board of Directors (Silicon Valley Association of Realtors).
Prior to entering real estate, Stelzer was a high school social sciences teacher in the San Mateo Unified School District.
He also worked as a counselor, psychologist, program specialist and high school vice principal for New Haven Unified School District.
Stelzer earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from California State University, Northridge. He also earned his standard secondary teaching credential from San Francisco State University and his master’s in education psychology from California State University, Hayward.
Stelzer continues his public service by serving as the chairman of the San Mateo County Committee for School District Organization and is an active member of the Palo Alto and Menlo Park Realtor District counsels. He resides in Menlo Park with his wife Kathleen and their children, Jordan and Samantha.
Stelzer succeeds George Monaco, who was recently appointed to manage Coldwell Banker’s Menlo Park Santa Cruz Avenue.
