By Bridge Bank opens Palo Alto Branch

Bridge Bank of Silicon Valley opened a new branch on the ground floor of 525 University Ave., Palo Alto, on Nov. 2.

Industry veterans Kenneth D, Brenner and Colleen Carlsted, who have recently joined the Bridge Bank’s management group, are slated to lead the team of seven bankers who will staff the Palo Alto branch. Brenner has been named branch president.

Bridge Bank of Silicon Valley is Santa Clara County’s new full-service business bank. Longtime Los Altos resident Allan Kramer is Bridge Bank’s chairman.

Marriott Residence Inn opens in Los Altos

A new Residence Inn by Marriott is scheduled to open Saturday at 4460 El Camino Real in Los Altos, but will not begin accepting reservations until Jan. 1.

Each suite in the 156-room hotel is designed for stays of five or more nights, and features an in-room modem and a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee maker, microwave oven and full-size appliances.

Other amenities include daily housekeeping, complimentary hot breakfast buffet and grocery-shopping services; same-day dry cleaning; faxing, copying and printing; an outdoor swimming pool, exercise room and sport court; and a social room with a weeknight social hour.
