By The Los Altos Library will hold a craft program on doorhangers this afternoon (Nov. 14) from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. in the Program Room. The drop-in program is for children ages 7 and up. For more information, call the Children's Reference Desk at 948-7683, ext. 3525.

The Los Altos Library is again a collection site for food for the hungry. Collection barrels from the Second Harvest Food Bank will be in the library through the end of December.

Editorial

We’ve recently covered the passing of two of this community’s most involved and committed volunteers, Lee Lynch and Billy Russell. They represented an era when people helped out, not so they could get their name on a building, but because it was simply the right thing to do.

There’s a new generation of volunteers hard at work right now in this community who are carrying on their legacy. The level of involvement in the recent Los Altos Relay For Life event bears this out.
