By James Bishop

Capt. James W. (Jay) Bishop, U.S. Marine Corps, was recently appointed aide to the commanding general of Camp Pendleton.

Bishop is a 1992 graduate of Los Altos High School and the son of former Los Altos residents Jim and Kathy Bishop.

He is married to Mary, née Konye, also a 1992 graduate of Los Altos High School.

Michael Ruccolo

Marine Corps Pvt. Michael A. Ruccolo, son of Karen A. and Frank Ruccolo of Los Altos Hills, recently completed his 12 week basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego.

Ruccolo is a 1998 graduate of St. Francis High School.
