The San Jose CyberRays of the Women’s United Soccer Association will take on the San Diego Spirit Thursday in an exhibition game benefiting the Palo Alto Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Former St. Francis High standout Gina Oceguera is a member of the WUSA champion CyberRays.

The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Stanford University’s Maloney Field.

Admission is free, but fans will be asked to make a donation. Local volunteers who traveled to New York and the Pentagon in Washington to help rescue efforts will be recognized in a pregame ceremony.

The Spirit, led by former Stanford All-American Julie Foudy, placed fifth during the inaugural WUSA season. The Spirit also features former Santa Clara University stars Kim Pickup and Erin Montoya.
