As part of a national campaign to raise awareness about domestic violence, volunteers at the Support Network for Battered Women are turning to the telephone for their annual fund-raiser, Voices Against Violence. This four-day event is scheduled 6-9 p.m., through Thursday at Campi Properties in Los Altos.

Support Network established a goal of $68,000 needed to sustain a variety of critical services. Corporate and individual sponsors have offered challenge grants to make the goal more attainable.

Since 1978, the Support Network has worked in partnership with law enforcement, corporations, foundations, faith groups and others to empower women and children to rebuild their lives free of fear and violence. Agency services include the only toll-free bilingual 24-hour crisis line in Santa Clara County, an emergency shelter, support groups, counseling and legal help.

For information, contact the Support Network for Battered Women, 444 Castro St., Suite 305, Mountain View 94041, call 940-4375 or logon to www.snbw.org.
