Entries are being accepted for the 14th annual City of Palo Alto Men’s and Women’s Senior Golf Tournament. The event is set for Tuesday at the Palo Alto Municipal Golf Course. Victory celebration
The San Jose CyberRays, which has St. Francis High graduate Gina Oceguera on its roster and former Pinewood and Gunn athletic director Christy Eustice in its front office, Oct. 21 will celebrate winning the Women’s United Soccer Association’s inaugural championship last month. The CyberRays Fan Appreciation Party will be held in the East parking lot at Spartan Stadium in San Jose. The event will begin with an 11:30 a.m. tailgate party prior to the San Jose State-Sacramento State men’s soccer match at 1 p.m. at the stadium. Sports grants
The Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame’s 2002 Youth Fund grant applications are now available. Non-profit youth organizations and schools may apply for the grants, which provide needed sports equipment.
