By The stories of missing people around the world associated with the terrorist attack are beyond devastating and unthinkable. Words cannot truly describe how I feel about what has happened in America. My husband and I live in Los Altos (previously residents of New York) and, unfortunately, we have a missing family member in the World Trade Center horror. Our brother-in-law is missing and presumed dead. He worked for Cantor Fitzgerald, a London-based company, on the 101st floor of the North World Trade Center where Flight 11 directly entered the building. Most (if not all) of the people working in the New York office of Cantor Fitzgerald are still missing. The worst if feared. Our missing family member is Steve Canjialosi. He is the brother-in-law of Steve DiFranco and myself, Sandra DiFranco (Los Altos), his wife is Karen Canjialosi (Middletown, N.J.) and his sons are Jeffrey and Peter.
I am writing about Steve Canjialosi because I would like to have the prayers of all of our wonderful neighbors in Los Altos, and I want him to remembered amongst the others missing in this horrific event and honor his memory. He was a loving husband, a dedicated father and adored son.
My husband, Steve DiFranco, has been stuck in England this week and unable to return for this family crisis. By the time you read this, my husband and I hope to be in New Jersey with family to support Steve Canjialosi’s wife, children and parents in this most difficult time.
Thank you for all your support and prayers, and God Bless America.
- Sandra DiFranco
