The 10th annual Celebrate Los Altos Fall Festival is scheduled 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Oct. 6 and 7 in the Plaza South parking lot between First and Third streets.

More than 160 artisans will offer paintings, sculptures, ceramics, jewelry, textiles and other decorative holiday items for sale in this year’s fund-raiser for the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce.

The festival will again include the Chef’s Galley, a cooking demonstration tent featuring regional celebrity chefs preparing their specialty dishes. The chefs include Noah Cooper of Z restaurant, Jon Hall of MacArthur Park, Gary Roth of Los Altos Golf and Country Club, Juan Bailon of Vive Sol, Jamie Carpenter of Jocco’s and Steve Castronovo of Draeger’s Culinary Center.

Local restaurants will dish up culinary favorites. Microbrews and fine wines will be available at several locations.

The Classic Car Show will exhibit more than 100 automobiles predating 1969, including a Batmobile, featured in the “Batman” television series, a vintage 1929 Los Altos fire apparatus and a California National Guard military vehicle. A “Cars For Sale” area will be set up for vintage automobiles available for sale. In addition, some pre-1976 cars will be available for sale.

The Scarecrow Contest and Children’s Alley will provide a variety of youth-oriented activities to entertain children. Proceeds from the interactive games in Children’s Alley benefit the local schools.

Festival entertainment will range from the acoustic blues of Felonius Smith to the popular dance music of Sweet Relief.

Sponsors include Bank of America, Conditioned Air, Sprint Broadband, San Jose Mercury News, KARA, Kruse International/eBay Auction, American Express Tax & Business Services, Bank of Los Altos, Viplex Industries, Dacor and McPhails Appliances.

Admission and parking are free. For more information, call 948-1455.
