The Batmobile will be among the vintage cars featured at next month’s annual Celebrate Los Altos Fall Festival.
The car from the 1960s television series “Batman” will be on display both days at the festival’s Classic Car Show. The festival is scheduled for Oct. 6 and 7 in downtown Los Altos.
The car show, to be staged in the South Parking Plaza between First and Second streets, will feature approximately 60 pre-1970 vintage cars each day. Cars range from Model Ts to Shelby Mustangs.
Slots are still available for those interested in displaying their classic cars. A $10 entry fee is required, with checks made out to the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce. Cars for sale can be exhibited for a fee of $20 for both days.
Honorary judges include Los Altos Mayor King Lear, Los Altos Police Chief Don Johnson, Los Altos High School Principal George Perez, Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District Superintendent Rich Fischer and Palo Alto Concours d’ Elegance representatives Gil Gilfix and Ed Gillis.
A special class of automobiles, winners of last year’s open awards, will be sponsored and judged by the Town Crier.
The festival will also include 160 arts and crafts vendors, food from Los Altos restaurants, wines, micro-brews, entertainment and a sports tent.
