By Rhodes assumes command of Puerto Rico battalion
Army Lt. Col. Robert F. Rhodes, son of Robert D. Rhodes of Los Altos, has assumed command of the 56th Signal Battalion at Fort Buchanan, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
Rhodes is a 1978 graduate of Homestead High School and received a bachelor’s degree in 1984 from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
He earned a master’s degree this year from the University of Phoenix, Ariz.
Army Private Raymond J. Glassel, son of Disiree Champagne of Mountain View, has graduated with honors from the chaplain assistant training course at Fort Jackson, Columbia,S.C.. The course emphasized religious support, development of interpersonal skills and unit ministry support to soldiers and family care.
Army Reserve Colonel Jaime R. Roman, son of Vilma Wilczynsia of Los Altos, and Jaime Roman of Bryan, Texas, has graduated from the U.S. Army War College Correspondence Course at Carlisle,P.A. The course prepares officers, as well as civilian officials of the federal government, for top level positions with the U.S. armed forces around the world.
