By Local couple's son wins algebra award

Eric Glen Weyl, of Los Altos Hills, has received the Choate Rosemary Hall Award for Excellence in Algebra.

Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Conn., is an independent secondary school.

Host families needed for foreign students

The Pacific Cultural Exchange is seeking 22 caring families to host high school students from Belgium, Brazil, Germany, Thailand, Vietnam, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan for the coming school year. Students will be arriving in August to spend a semester or school year with a host family while attending high school.The students are pre-screened and speak English.
