Friday: 1 p.m. Armchair Travel: “Silk Road,” presented by Bob Shaffer. Refreshments will be served.
June 21: 10:30 a.m. Grand opening of first bocci ball courts in Los Altos. There are two courts, located on the north side of the Senior Center. There will be demonstrations and information about forming leagues.
June 22: Noon. Friday luncheon. The menu is coleslaw, baked filet of fish, seasoned mashed potatoes, asparagus and Jell-O. Tickets are $3 for members and $6 for guests.
June 28: Noon. AARP General Meeting at Shoreline Park. Bring your brown-bag lunch or make reservations for lunch at Michael’s. Cost for lunch is $13.50. For more information, call Peggy Tondorf at 948-3354.
June 29: 1 p.m. Birthday Bingo: Celebrate June birthdays with cake, ice cream, music and free bingo.

AARP: The Palo Alto Chapter of AARP will meet at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, at the Palo Alto Art Center, 1313 Newell Road. Bill Stark will present a travel program featuring slides of Albuquerque, Carlsbad and the Smoky Mountains. For details, call 323-2398.
