By Beth Goodsell, a student at Mountain View High School, has been accepted Youth for Understanding International Exchange as an exchange student. She will live with a family in Spain this summer.

Emily Farray of Portola Valley earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and international studies from Taylor University in Upland, Ind.

Austin Moore of Los Altos graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He is currently working as a summer intern at General Motors’ Robotics and Controls Programming in Detroit.

Marrisa E. Yanez of Los Altos Hills earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical and materials science engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. She will pursue her Ph.D. in bioengineering and nanotechnology at the University of Washington this fall.

Annie Petersmeyer, a student at Los Altos High School, has been awarded a School of Music scholarship to attend The Florida State University through the spring 2005 semester.
