By Whodunit? group to meet June 6

The Whodunit? mystery readers’ group will discuss “The Bone is Pointed” by Arthur Upfield from 10:15-11:30 a.m., June 6, in the group study room at the Los Altos main library, 13 S. San Antonio Road.

The group normally meets the first Wednesday of the month, and welcomes new members. Other summer dates are: July 11, “Booked to Die” by John Dunning; Aug. 1, “Judgment in Stone” by Ruth Rendell.

Editorial

We’ve recently covered the passing of two of this community’s most involved and committed volunteers, Lee Lynch and Billy Russell. They represented an era when people helped out, not so they could get their name on a building, but because it was simply the right thing to do.

There’s a new generation of volunteers hard at work right now in this community who are carrying on their legacy. The level of involvement in the recent Los Altos Relay For Life event bears this out.
