The Los Altos History Museum has scheduled a family matinee of “Singing in the Rain,” with Donald O’Connor, Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds, 2 p.m., Sunday, at the museum and History House, 51 S. San Antonio Road.

The special program complements the museum’s changing exhibit, “Red, Hot and Blue: A Salute to the American Musical,” and welcomes kids and their guests to the museum.

An exhibit hall treasure hunt and “Singing in The Rain” CDs’ raffle add to the event.

The museum’s permanent exhibit, “Crown of the Peninsula: Los Altos Land Use over Time,” features interactive displays including a moving train and is suitable for kids of all ages, according to staff.

The Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Services and Turner Classic Movies (the film is courtesy of TCM) are the national sponsors of “Red, Hot and Blue.”

The Los Altos exhibit is sponsored in part by the California Council for the Humanities and members of the Los Altos History Museum.

The family program is included with museum admission.

Admission is free for visitors under 19 and members; $3 for non-members over 19. The Museum is open Thurdsday through Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.
