Peninsula Youth Theater continues its Stories on Stage series this weekend with “Charlotte’s Web” at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, 500 Castro St.

The play is based on the book by E.B. White.

Performances are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., Friday, and 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., Saturday.

Tickets are priced at $3-$5.

The final production in series will be “Summer of the Swans,” set for May 25-26.

Editorial

We’ve recently covered the passing of two of this community’s most involved and committed volunteers, Lee Lynch and Billy Russell. They represented an era when people helped out, not so they could get their name on a building, but because it was simply the right thing to do.

There’s a new generation of volunteers hard at work right now in this community who are carrying on their legacy. The level of involvement in the recent Los Altos Relay For Life event bears this out.
