Water world

The Los Altos Mountain View Aquatic Club has openings for swimmers of all ages and abilities. Must be at least 5 years old, able to swim underwater, do basic freestyle (big arms), back float, and jump into deep water. Intermediate and advanced swimmers (ages 6-18) can join the competitive swim-team program run by experienced coaches. Masters swim program for ages 18 and is also available. Pop players

Mountain View-Los Altos Pop Warner Football will hold signups for players and cheerleaders ages 7-15, 6:30-8 p.m., today, and 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, at the Mountain View Recreation Center. For more information, call Marty Kosofsky at (408) 736-7801.

Walking for a cause

The Silicon Valley Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society seeks walkers and volunteers for the Silicon Valley Chapter’s 12th annual MS walk, set for Saturday in San Jose. For more information, call (408) 988-7557.

Horsing around

Westwind Barn, 27210 Altamont Road, Los Altos Hills, holds a hunter-jumper horse show 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., April 28. The schooling show will offer classes in jumping (three divisions, ranging from 18 inches to 2 1/2 feet), equitation, trail riding, halter showmanship, pairs and “champagne pleasure” for riders over age 21.
